POSITION SUMMARY:
Constance Lake First Nation is seeking two dependable and safety-focused After-Hours Medical Van Drivers to provide transportation services for community members outside regular business hours. This is a full-time rotational position working a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. Each driver alternates shifts to ensure 24/7 after-hours coverage. The After-Hours Driver plays a vital role in supporting community health by transporting clients safely, respectfully, and in a timely manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Proven experience driving in rural and winter conditions.
• Strong understanding of road safety and defensive driving.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to remain on-call during assigned rotation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Satisfactory CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide safe, reliable transportation for medical appointments and urgent after-hours needs.
• Respond to calls promptly during scheduled rotation and remain available throughout the on-shift period.
• Drive in varying weather and road conditions while following all safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate trip records, mileage logs, and required documentation.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and maintained according to program standards.
• Handle all client interactions with professionalism, respect, and confidentiality.
• Communicate with the Medical Transportation Coordinator regarding schedules and client needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
