Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Shop Attendant/Mechanic Helper. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and contribute to the maintenance and repair of rail equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanic with maintenance and repair of rail equipment and machinery
• Perform general shop duties including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining tools and equipment
• Support fabrication and mechanical tasks as required
• Operate basic shop tools and equipment safely
• Conduct routine inspections and report issues
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude  or relevant experience (shop, heavy equipment, or rail industry preferred)
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license
