Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional who thrives in plant environments and understands the urgency of MRO operations? Canadian Bearings is seeking a Plant Sourcing Specialist to support customers within their facility by managing sourcing, procurement transactions, and operational coordination.
 
This is a full-time temporary contract role providing maternity leave coverage. The position focuses on technical support, order processing, supplier negotiation, and ISO-aligned procurement practices while ensuring strong collaboration between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

What You’ll Own (Day-to-Day)

  • Respond to customer requests for technical and sourcing support
  • Meet with key plant stakeholders to identify and support MRO needs
  • Process transactions within customer procurement management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms
  • Ensure alignment with ISO requirements in sourcing, expediting, quote follow-up, and order processing
  • Manage full-cycle order processing including freight selection, multi-channel order intake, and invoicing
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customer and supplier partners
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to support business opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Manage assigned accounts to retain revenue and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies within customer facilities
  • Administer payments and ensure accuracy of financial documentation
  • Prepare and submit KPI reports to support performance tracking and accountability

Who You Are (Must-Have)

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in MRO sourcing, procurement, industrial distribution, or plant-based operations
  • Working knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar ERP platforms
  • Strong understanding of ISO processes and documentation requirements
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating pricing and supplier terms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced plant environment
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Sales, Operations, and customer stakeholders

Compensation
$55,000 - $70,000
 
Canadian Bearings provides the salary range for this role to promote pay equity and transparency. The range reflects the anticipated base salary for the position; however, actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
