Finance Admin - Role at the Villa Inn & Suites

Bonus points if you’ve worked in hospitality or know your way around accounting software… but if not, we’ll show you the ropes!
Ideal profile & Skills:
· Excellent bilingualism
· Enjoys structure, order, and efficiency
· Takes pride in accuracy and quality of work
· Experience with Quickbooks or similar bookkeeping software
· Punctual, respectful, sees the work and is proud of it
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
· Professional communication skills with guests and staff
· Confident in front desk / guest interaction tasks
· Strong attention to detail and team-oriented
Bonus attributes
· Administrative certification or diploma
· Experience in hospitality
· Holds a valid G class license
· Proficient with MS Office and open to learning hotel management software
Accounting & Administrative Duties
· Record daily financial reports
· Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Prepare invoices and track payments
· Handle payroll processing, statutory filings, and related reconciliations
· Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
· Cash bank deposits
· Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards and internal controls. (HST, MAT, WSIB, CRA and ROE)
· Maintain general ledger account and reconcile banks and credit card statements
· Support accountants with journal entries and year-end closing
· Assist with budgeting and monitor cash flow tracking
Operational & Team Support
· Support front-desk and reception operations, including hotel guest check-in/check-out, payment processing, and client service.
· Assist management with projects and internal communications
· Assist with inventory, supplies, and office/hotel stock management
· Suggest process improvements to make workflows faster, easier, or more accurate
· Help coordinate team events, staff meetings, or employee recognition efforts
